Description

This 3 month Certificate in Digital Filmmaking is aimed at introducing the students to fundamental concepts of filmmaking such as Film Grammar, Photography, Cinematography, Non linear Editing.

  1. Understand the fundamentals of film grammar and continuity
  2. Operate a video camera, with a fundamental understanding of exposure, lensing, compositions and lighting
  3. Understand various components of a narrative  and breakdown the same for filmmaking
  4. Operate a Non linear video editing software to complete different formats of digital content creation
  5. Work in a collaborative environment to produce both fiction and non fiction content for contemporary demands of the modern society 

Portfolio

At the end of the course students will carry a portfolio that consists of 

  1. Vox Populi edit – 3 minutes
  2. A Roll/ B Roll Interview edit – 3 minutes
  3. City Montage – 3 minutes
  4. Process Demonstration with voiceover – 5 minutes
  5. Vlog – 5 minutes
  6. Multicam Talk show – 10 minutes
  7. Recreation of a play(Classic) – 5 minutes/ Photo Roman – 3 to 5 minutes
  8. Short film with a given Screenplay – 3 minutes
