Packaging Design
Every day we come across and handle a variety of packaged products. right from the toothpaste we use in the morning ,throughout the day we interact with soaps, toiletries, food products, detergents etc. which are beautifully packaged and branded, forever tempting us on the supermarket shelves. Apart from facilitating transportation and protecting the product , packaging dramatically influences our purchasing choices and decisions.
A great packaging design can make your product stand out, increase sales and beat the Competition. Packaging is also an opportunity to tell customers who you are as a brand and what you believe in. Product packaging cannot scream at the customer – “buy me!”. It needs to be intriguing, create a mood and prompt a range of emotions. Crucially, it needs to provoke the customer to think about the brand beyond its product.
Ever wondered who designs these beautiful packages? The ‘unboxing experience’ is the series of emotions the customer experiences as they reach for the box and start unwrapping the product inside. From the moment of purchase, everything leads to the customer opening the box and this should be a memorable, one-of-a-kind experience.
At LISAA we train our Graphic Design students to design packaging that is not only attractive but sustainable and unique.
Our second year Graphic Design Students were given an assignment to design packaging for a range of fruit flavored Tea and Chocolates wherein the students came up with these beautiful designs.
